Well, this is the end...  the end of my 2013 Project 365, or rather my Project 182 1/2, hehe...  ;)  I technically did not complete a full 12 months, but I did complete six months...  January through April and then November and December.  Although I did not finish an entire year, I am so glad that I was able to complete the six months that I did and I really am very happy with that accomplishment.  A project like this is a huge challenge, as anyone who has participated in one would understand, but I do know that I am coming away with so very much more experience, skill and knowledge than what I started with at the beginning of the year.  It's an excellent tool for pushing yourself to grow and I would honestly recommend a project, of some kind, to every single photographer, no matter what your specialty.  Whether you participate in a Project 365, a Project 52, a Project 12 or something else, you won't regret the benefits...  there are just too many.

Although this is the end, this is definitely not goodbye, as I have committed to completing a Project 52 in 2014.  I knew that with all of the plans I have to grow my business this year that another Project 365 would just be too much on my plate, but I didn't want to miss out on the growth that I would experience from a project, so a Project 52 feels like it will fit me just right for this new year.  :)

Thank you so very much for following along with my Project 365 journey in 2013.  I hope you enjoyed both my posts and all of my pictures.  I will be blogging weekly about my Project 52 under a new page that will be added to the { my blogs } drop down menu on my blogsite.  I hope you will join me there too!  Until we meet again, have a very happy Wednesday and a very happy new year!  :)

Happy Christmas Eve everyone!  This week I had a lot of fun.  The majority of my shots were Christmas themed or at least wintery.  My favorite of the group is the Christmas light bokeh...  taken with my news Lensbaby Double Glass Optic.  I am definitely going to have some fun with that lens in the future...  very cool effects with that baby...  ;)

I can't believe this project is almost complete, just one more post after this one, well, maybe two...  since there are actually 7 days left and my template is made for just 6 pictures.  I might try to find one that I can use with 7 pictures instead, we'll see.  On one hand, I am looking forward to the end of my project, as I have a couple of things that I would like to shift my attention to in the new year, but on the other hand, I will miss it.  For anyone who hasn't ever regularly participated in a project, I really encourage it, as I know that I have grown as a photographer this year because of it.  It forces creative thinking and it sharpens shooting skills immensely.  I read an online photography article or a book on photography daily, but nothing can replace hands on practice.  It's no doubt, hands down, the best way to improve.

Thanks for reading my post today.  I hope you have a very happy Tuesday and a very Merry Christmas tomorrow!  See you all next time...  :D

Welcome back everyone!  I certainly have a similar trend on this week's page.  Lots of monochrome...  :)  Only three of the six pictures were actually taken or converted to black and white, but they all definitely have that feel, nonetheless.  The last two pictures are my absolute favorite.  I couldn't resist the sun shining in my kitchen window, late in the afternoon, and the picture of my youngest daughter concentrating so intently with a bit of her tongue sticking out, just like I used to do when I was little, just makes me happy...  :)  The top macro picture is some frost that was on my windshield early one morning.  I'm still waiting on the *perfect* snowflake macro opportunity, so until just the right snow falls, I will enjoy shooting other variations of frosty, cold and white...  ;)

Thanks for reading today and have a very happy Thursday!  :D

Goodness, six days passed me right by and then some!  This week was a hard one for me.  Even though I captured one of my favorite shots this week, most of my pictures, I was just not happy with.  For some reason it seemed like a struggle for me and there were two days especially that took everything in me not to redo them, but I didn't have the extra time to do so, so it is what it is.  I'm hoping that next week, I will find a burst of inspiration to get me back on track...  :)

Thank you for coming by!  I hope you all have had a very happy Saturday!  And just in case you are wondering, my favorite shot of the week, was the sunset...  ;)  See you again very soon!  :)
